Clients are encouraged to attend self-help groups upon completion of the treatment program. In addition, Hope Place has recently expanded the aftercare component with the opening of a satellite facility in Mississauga. Alumni of the program may now receive continuing care and support from qualified counsellors in a more central and accessible location for a period of up to two years.

The aim of aftercare and continuing care is to assist the client in regaining her place in the community. Toward this end, alumni of the Program are encouraged to participate in various groups and workshops on topics such as:
relapse prevention and dealing with triggers
coping with stress
budgeting
communication skills
couples counselling
lifeskills
resume preparation and interview skills
accessibllity to community services and other supports
The satellite facility also offers assessment and pre-treatment/bnef therapy for those women waiting for admission to the program.
